Okay, so maybe it’s not 140 days of Spain. Lets round it to 120 days, leaving some days for the outside traveling I’ll be doing. I’ve got a few big trips coming up in the future that I’m excited about. So, usually when you plan on doing international travel, you’re told to be about 3 hours earlier prior to departure, but what do we do? We go 6 hours earlier. Not because we were paranoid on missing our flight, but because the metros stop running at 1:30am and start up at 6:30am and we had a 7:30am flight. It’s 2am and we’ve got plenty of time to kill, especially since we can’t wait near the gate till 4:30am. I attempted to sleep and failed. The airport floors are quite cold and the chairs aren’t exactly comfortable. Okay, so its 7:30am and its time for takeoff. It’s only an hour and 15 minute long flight and with Portugal being an hour behind than Spain, we only lost about 15 minutes in time. Haha. I fell in love with Portugal the second we stepped out of the airport. There are palm trees everywhere! It makes me happy! We arrive at our hostel and settled in and spent the day sightseeing around the city seeing plazas, cathedrals, and castles.
