DAY 76 FRIDAY MARCH 25, 2011: GAUDI’S CREATIONS

It’s 10am and were off to discover Barcelona. First, we took a tour of Barcelona’s soccer stadium Camp Nou. Though, Im a Real Madrid fan, there’s no way you can go to Barcelona and not see the stadium. It’s nice stadium, but I personally do like the Bernabeu better. After the tour we hoped on the metro and made our way to the Sagrada Familia Cathedral. It’s beyond beautiful, and it jumps right at you the moment you walk outside the metro. It’s almost scary! It’s just massively huge! Once we finished, we made our way down to Plaza Catalunya and walked down the streets till we reached Casa Batllo and Casa Mila. I strongly believe, Gaudi was the most brilliant architect who ever lived. He created this city with his creative and colorful buildings. After stopping to have dinner, we strolled down Las Ramblas, which is Barcelona’s most famous street, packed will street performers, florist, ice cream and crepe venders and just loads of people! Once your reach the end of the street, there’s nowhere to go but into the water! We reached the Mediterranean! We went down to the dock and just enjoyed some time appreciating the view. Our next and final stop, (With a quick visit to the Sagrada Familia again) we went to go see    or as others may know it as “The Penis”. Once we finish with that we head home.
